Where Will these Steps Lead Us

About

Initially I wanted to move the viewers eye, and to try my hand at what Piet Mondrian was great at - to have the piece begin from off the canvas to the canvas and then off again. This allowed the piece to integrate into its surroundings and steal attention. In this piece 'steps' the L shapes block a corridor while the diagonal line leads the eye straight to the upper left. Invariably the eye is always adjusting the shapes, and moving throughout the piece.
